Kisima Trust is a Kenyan based chartiy which exists to help communities of people who live within the rural outskirts of the town of Kitale.
Kitale is an agricultural town located around 400kms (260Miles) from Kenya's capital city Nairobi.

Extreme Poverty
The people living in the surrounding villages of Kitale face extreme poverty, harsh living condtions and a daily struggle to survive. There is no or very little oppourtunity for people to earn a living or better themselves within these rural communities.
Gender Inequality
Within these communties exists gender inequallity and women often find themselves alone and isolated after becoming widowed or abandoned. Single parent mothers are left to fend for themselves and their children with little recourse and an undervalued voice in society.
